Ocean Grove
The Ocean Grove Area Chamber of Commerce website was sorely in need of an update. Outdated information and the general impression of a late 1990s weblog (that's what they were called before "blog") was doing little to promote the unique & picturesque beach town of today.
Existing in a peculiar melange of Methodist, Victorian, LGBTQ and tourist-centric, Ocean Grove is active year-round, with more than 3000 permanent residents. The website was designed to pay homage to OG's history while bringing the Chamber (an information hub, after all), a fresh, animated, current look & feel.
Categories of Lodging, Dining & Shopping were given top billing, along with Events and the ever-expanding Members directory. Useful subpages like Beach Information & Getting Here were fleshed out. My favorite personal touch is "Where's Ralph," an OG icon to those in the know, and a fun little treasure hunt for those who are new.
I'm delighted to also be designing many other pieces for the Chamber, where I can get creative in retro fashion (my signature) as well as reinforce OGACC's beautiful branding (by NYC's It's the Watsons).
